Obzor is a small coastal town. It is located on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, approximately halfway between the cities of Varna and Burgas. During the summer months it becomes an attractive resting place for thousands of Bulgarian and foreign tourists. It attracts visitors with its numerous restaurants, exiting nightlife and beautiful golden beach. Obzor‘s beach season begins as early as May and lasts until late September. One of the biggest advantages of Obzor is lower accommodation and service prices in comparison to other seaside resorts.
The city is surrounded by forest, so that the air is very clean and fresh. The biggest attractions are the church of St. John the Forrunner (in Bulgarian St. Yoan Prettecha), Dvoinitsa River estuary, and the remains of the temple of Jupiter.
The surrounding area also offers some remarkable places that you should not miss. These are Cape Emine, and Irakli, known for its magnificent scenery and one of the most beautiful beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
Obzor is twinned with Debica in Poland.
